Our Vision
The vision for MonteCedro is grounded in the shared heritage of The Episcopal Home Communities and The Scripps Home, which became part of The Episcopal Home family in 2007. Their pioneering efforts in the early 1900s to provide charitable housing and support services for our community's elders created enduring legacies of care and community benefit. We are proud of our history as The Episcopal Home Communities, a non-profit organization, continues to enhance the lives of older adults at a family of distinctive retirement communities across Southern California - Scripps Kensington in Alhambra, The Canterbury in Rancho Palos Verdes and The Covington in Aliso Viejo. Our success in responding to the evolving preferences of retirees has enabled us to enrich our local communities with highly desirable retirement living choices.
MonteCedro, our newest community, is located on the former site of the historic Scripps Home, which was an iconic part of Altadena for nearly a century. Plans for MonteCedro proudly respect the history and founding principles of The Episcopal Home Communities and The Scripps Home.
