COVID-19 Info and Response

March 23, 2020

Every person in every country has to take responsibility in preventing the spread of the Coronavirus.

- World Health Organization

I am thankful to report that there are currently no confirmed cases within our communities. And I want to thank each resident and team member for your extraordinary contribution to the safety and well-being of not only yourselves, but those around you. Your actions today determine our tomorrow.

Episcopal Communities & Services for Seniors exists to enrich lives, so it was difficult, but necessary, for us to limit physical interaction  to choose safety over socialization. However, through the spirit and creativity of both residents and team members, new virtual venues are already being created.

  • Open Voice teleconferencing is now available for resident committees and group activities through the Life Enrichment department.  They will provide a dial-in # and access # for an appointed date/time and can provide instructions for use.

  • Residents are connecting with their friends and family in and outside of the community via FaceTime, Skype, Zoom, etc.  Reach out to the Life Enrichment department for assistance.

  • Virtual visitation is now available in assisted living and memory care as well as care centers, via iPads using FaceTime or Skype Again, Life Enrichment can assist.

It is truly inspiring to hear the many stories of residents and team members working together for the good of the communities.

Please remember to find a moment each day to escape from the news and enjoy a simple moment of peace. It may be difficult but that simple moment of peace, whether through worship, prayer, meditation, or another activity, is vital to the soul.
